Film trailer report: Drag me to hell (2009)

Codes and conventions:
Watching this trailer i straight away realise that this is quite i different horror film and doesn’t fully follow the codes and conventions as much as others.
·         There is a young woman who is giving and ultimatum but she doesn’t know this could affect weather she lives or dies.
·         There is a moment where she is attacked where she is completely alone and isolated.
Moment of equilibrium:
The moment of equilibrium is relatively short! And it isn’t really a moment of happiness as the young woman is distressed about her job.
The moment of disequilibrium happens when and elderly women begs her for help but she cannot oblige this is when the elderly women says “i have never been this ashamed” and then it cuts to the scene of her in the car park walking to the car alone! This is when the audience realise that it isn’t right.
Sounds and editing:
As in any trailer there was non-digetic music throughout the trailer and it changes towards the end of the trailer. The music stops as the moment of disequilibrium happens this make us really focus on what is going on.  We then witness fade to blacks and close ups on the main characters face, during the moment of disequilibrium there is continuous quick cuts and some tone cards towards the end.
