Trailer: When watching the trailer we can clearly see that it follows some codes and conventions of any other horror movie, and gives us an idea of how long the moment on equilibrium is and when the disequilibrium starts to set in.

Within the opening titles we can already see that this might be a scary films as they have used very creepy non-digetic sound, then uses a picture of a scull that then fades into the film. I think this clearly shows the sign of death.

· She seems innocent at first as she is a nurse but then we see clip of her and boyfriend in the shower , this could also mean SEX=DEATH
· As she was the first character we see this might also mean the final girl theory is in place.
· As it is a zombie film, we can understand why it is in such a sub urban area, as there is more people here meaning more killed, more terror.

Moment of equilibrium: the lead character Ana finishes her shift at the hospital and travels to her sub urban area where she lives with her husband, we can tell that where she live is a very community reliant area, we see Ana talking to one of the young girls this shows us that she is a trusted member of the community. The moment of equilibrium is very short and is over before the opening sequence.
Moment of disequilibrium: This period arises around dawn when the couple are in bed, the little girl from next door has somehow manage to get into their house Ana’s husband awakes and she the little girl standing there with a blood covered face, this is when it sets in that something is not right!
Within the film there is a clip of a news report where a pastor is telling the public that because of our sex and wrong doing hell is full so the dead will walk earth. This clearly has something to do with the code and conventions.

New equilibrium: The small group of people that survived including Ana managed to escaped onto a boat away from the terror but do they know if they will be safe.
